Admit it, now the Cher song is stuck in your head. You’re welcome. I’m Shannon and I’m thrilled that you are checking out my site. This has been an evolution of many different passions and loves. Over the years my career has transitioned from culinary school in New York (leaving a small town in east Texas at 18 was a little scary, but awesome), to wellness advising on an Alaskan cruise ship. I have come to one significant realization. After running several of my own companies – a restaurant & bar, wellness practice, and even a faux-finish painting business – I am a gypsy at heart.
I LOVE plant-based food, natural health, and travel, and I want to share my love of them with you. Join me on this journey while we explore the world, scrumptious plant-based recipes, and so much more.
Currently, I am a sous-chef on a small, luxury cruise ship in Alaska. My work allows me to travel, eat, cook and play. Let’s see where we can go on this awesome adventure.
In case you are curious – I am a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America; Certified in Plant-Based Nutrition by The Center for Nutritional Studies & Cornell; Kripalu Certified Yoga Instructor; Somaveda Thai Yoga Massage Therapist and Instructor; Licensed Massage Therapist; and pretty handy with power tools too.
